Our Ingredients
Our Turkey & Beef Recipe was professionally developed with the assistance of a Pet Food Formulator to provide balanced nutrition while staying true to our philosophy of using thoughtfully selected, recognizable ingredients.
No artificial preservatives are added. Freezing allows us to maintain freshness without relying on artificial preservatives.
Being small batch Muttloaf sometimes look a little different. That's part of making food with real ingredients. Baxter’s MuttLoaf is prepared in small batches with recognizable ingredients, so natural variations in color and texture can occur.

Baxter’s Turkey and Beef Recipe is formulated to meet nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance.

Nutrition Comes From the Whole Recipe

Green Beans

Salmon Oil
Salmon oil supplies the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. These fats contribute to normal cell function and support healthy skin and coat.

Turmeric
Turmeric contributes golden color and a mild, earthy flavor.

Parsley Flakes
Parsley flakes add a mild herbal flavor and a touch of green to the recipe.
Zinc Proteinate
Zinc proteinate supplies zinc, an essential mineral involved in healthy skin, normal immune function, and many of the body’s enzymes. “Proteinate” describes zinc bound to protein components.
Thiamine Mononitrate
Thiamine mononitrate supplies vitamin B1, also called thiamine. This essential vitamin helps the body use carbohydrates for energy and supports normal nervous system function.
Potassium Iodide
