Our Story
Baxter joined our family 11 years ago. He brought us so much joy, but mealtime was rarely something he enjoyed. Sometimes he would go an entire day without eating.
We worried about him. His liver enzymes were consistently elevated, and he spent several years on medication. Like anyone who loves their dog, we wanted him to feel well and enjoy his days.
Then we met a couple who introduced us to fresh, homemade dog food. Baxter loved it. Suddenly, the dog who often ignored his bowl was excited to eat.
Over time, we noticed changes beyond mealtime. His breath improved, his energy returned, and he seemed more like his playful puppy self. Seeing that spark in him again meant everything to us.
That experience became the beginning of Baxter’s MuttLoaf. We’re Oana and Marc Graveline, and we started this business because we wanted to share the joy we had found in feeding Baxter fresh food with other local families who love their dogs as much as we love ours.
To turn that inspiration into the recipe we offer today, we hired a certified pet nutritionist and formulator. Our Turkey & Beef Recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance.
We make it with thoughtfully selected ingredients, fully cook it, and freeze it fresh. Behind every package is the same care that started this journey: wanting something better for a dog we love.
Baxter is still our inspiration. And helping more families look forward to mealtime together is why we do this.
